A fixed-scope project runs in four stages: discover, design, build and support. Before any work starts, you get a written scope that lists what will be built and a fixed price for it. You approve each stage before the next one begins, so there are no surprise hours and no guessing about what you are paying for.
Here is what each stage looks like in practice.
What happens on the first call?
The first call is 30 minutes and is about your problem, not our services. We ask how work moves through your business today: where enquiries arrive, who replies, what gets lost. By the end we either say plainly that we can help and how, or that something else would serve you better.
What is in the written scope?
If we can help, you receive a short document with:
- The problem in your words, and what success looks like.
- What we will build, feature by feature, and what is out of scope.
- The price, fixed, and split into stages for larger projects.
- The timeline, with a date for each stage.
- Ownership: the code, content and data built for you belong to you.
Nothing is built until you approve it. If the scope changes later, we agree the change and its price in writing first.
What happens in the design stage?
We map the flow end to end: what a visitor sees, what your team sees, and where the data goes. For a website with a CRM, that means the pages, the form fields and the pipeline stages. For an AI system, it means the script, the tools the AI can use and the points where a person takes over. You approve the design before any production code is written.
How does the build stage work?
We build in short steps and show working software at the end of each one, not slides. You can click through it, test it with real cases and ask for changes while they are still cheap to make. Every change is tested: automated tests for the logic, browser tests for the screens, and accessibility checks on key pages.
What happens at launch?
Launch is planned, not a single button press. We move real data over, set up email and monitoring, and run the full flow on the live system before telling anyone. Then we train your team on the parts they will use every day.
What support is there after launch?
We stay on hand after go-live to fix issues and answer questions. Many clients then add the next piece, such as AI follow-up on top of a new CRM, as a new fixed-scope stage.
Why fixed scope instead of hourly billing?
Hourly billing moves the risk to you: the longer something takes, the more you pay. A fixed scope makes us estimate carefully and gives you a number you can plan around. It also forces both sides to agree what "done" means before work starts, which prevents most project disputes.
